MAKO SICA
Badlands National Park is a photographer's dream studio with over 300,000 acres of prime shooting locations. It is a geological landscape of buttes, spires, and rolling grasslands. The heritage in this area has a long ancestry that traces through 65 million years of history from prehistoric hunters and gatherers to today's Great Sioux Nation, homesteaders, ranchers and farmers. Mako Sica, in the native tongue, explains the 'land' 'bad' in this late day photograph in the national park.
