DOUBLE TAKE

DOUBLE TAKE

These young Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep were captured on a fall morning sunrise in Custer State Park feeding on the last of the green grass. Their coats consist of short hair, not wool, like other sheep species. Interestingly enough, both the rams and ewes have horns. You can detect the rams, in matured bighorn sheep, by their thick and curled horns.
